BBC Sport's marketing campaign and titles for the forthcoming Olympic Games are based upon the traditional Chinese folklore 'Journey to the West'. The animation and music were specially produced by Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn.

Theres been plenty to talk regarding China hosting the Olympics, their politics, the protests, their treatment of fellow citizens and the list goes on... That aside but by all means not ignoring the subject if however their main objective was to impress the world with the 2008 Olympics, the stadium and its attendant buildings - the Aquatics Centre and Digital Beijing (the Olympics "command post") - they have set a heady precedent. The 2008 olympics has become a grand platform to show off the talents of the best architects around at present. Watch out 2012, we've got a lot to live up too...

WARNING: I loaded this on for a few days and found myself staring at the screen mesmerized, when to be honest I should've been doing something else...

An event celebrating The Hayward's 40th anniversary. The discussion brings together a distinguished group of artists and architects including Zaha Hadid, Antony Gormley, Ricky Burdett and Dennis Crompton, one of the group of architects who designed The Hayward.
Taking the The Hayward and its surrounding environment as a point of reference, the panel discuss and debate different, but often concurrent, approaches to designing gallery architecture: the great modernist tradition of building-as-machine and idea of gallery as sculptural icon.
