So whats going on with the new sequence, those in the UK may remember the early versions of "Tomorrows World" to all others you may think of the 80s version of Tron, oh how things have changed. But for Fringe it was a surprise, not sure how I feel about it. If its a one off then great although I know its going to bother me if its kept. I understand what they are trying to do alternate universes 30/40 years apart but it seems so out of style in keeping with the content of the show.
"I guess its just because there are so many flash backs to the 70/80s" - yeah thats it as Glenda informs me "but there may be more to it knowing JJ Abrams"
What do you think? love it or hate it or don't give a.....

Oh, and the whole thing of it being retro was that the show was mainly set in the 70s when Walter Bishop first started conducting his experiments...

The opening sequence of the latest episode caught me by surprise too! I liked the fact that the show tried to give it a retro feel (since it was mostly flashbacks) right from the start. Also amazed at how they were able to make Walter Bishop incredibly young, lol.

I wasn't sure if Walter was a stand in with make up, lots of it or clever use of CGI masking - clever all the same

The following episode ( Olivia. In The Lab. With The Revolver. ) intro is back to its normal self if anything in Fringe is normal.... : )
