Some of fonts in these posters are using unconventional object such as cigarette, wood, rope to emphasis the message behind design. Many of these designs are referred as experimental typography and  the results are distinctive chaotic, attention-grabbing and  not always readable. David Carson, a famous graphic designer is known for experimental typography.
