Passion for Design, many of us have it and it annoys the hell out of us when people take advantage and the p*ss. Here is a film short from Aaron Draplin telling you a story about a sign... A few expletives are present, actually no, there are plenty of them, be warned...

We gesture every moment of the day, giving directions, describing shape and size items, so when I came across Red Issue it felt very intuitive, natural and the whole experience quite seamless. Don't worry, at first you want to lean on the more conservative menu systems that numerous websites use but this is so much more fun and there is a help menu if you need. Draw a right arrow to go right, a left arrow to go left, and 'M' for menu.
So what do you think... is this the way all websites will and should go? Leave your thoughts via the comments section.

Catch Seafood Emporium | Guildford - The original and adopted concept for their online presence created by us (R27 Creativelab) earlier this year and was welcomed with open arms. We chose a very subtle fresh colour palette reflecting the colours of the fish rather than the obvious "sea" palette of blues and greens. It was finally put together by a local marketing agency and should be "a fully operational battle system" very soon.....

Benedict Redgrove took time out and shared a few words with R27.
Benedict Redgrove sees beauty in utilitarian spaces and structures and is excited by good design and functionality.
His meticulously crafted photographs range in scope from vast landscapes to intimate interiors, cars and technology, epic set ups and close-up still life. Strong, striking and inherently stylish, his work has an uncommonly clean graphic quality, resulting from Benedict's subtle experimentations with light and composition, angles and scale.
Bens inspiration comes from a variety of angles, cinema, architecture, graphic design and calm. He has a background in graphic design although focusing his time on photography for the last 9 years. He spends time in both London and New York and is represented by Balconyjump and Walter Schupfer respectively.
When asked what got him involved his answer was simply "wanting to feel free... and I do," he said.
What does the future hold for Ben? An exhibition is planned for next year so watch this space and a book reflecting on the places and spaces hes personally experienced.
A few samples of work are shown below:

Clients inc. Hyundai, Kia, GE, Ford, Virgin Atlantic, BMW, VW, Audi, L'Oreal, Sergio Rossi, British Airways, Nissan, Sony, EA Sports, BAR Honda, British Aerospace, Jaguar, Renault, Toyota and Hewlett Packard

World War was created by Vincent Chai for his final degree project whilst studying 3D Animation at the University Of Hertfordshire.
Vincent took time out and shared a few words with R27. Have a read before watching the animation below.
As soon as he got the chance to create a film of his own, he said that "I wanted to include everything I had learned throughout the years in a 4 minute animation. Therefore, I started to construct a storyline with a simple anti-war concept inspired by a quote of Albert Einstein ''I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones''. In addition, I love to watch movies as well, so I put in many ideas that I had seen into the short".
He chose to create the animation with an oriental backdrop as the animation itself was too short to explain the back story, Vincent says that "I wish that audiences can relate to what has happened in the past right at the beginning of film".
Stills from the World War:

He's currently working as game artist and has a few stories in his mind, hoping to continue to produce 3d short films during his spare time and share to everyone.

BMW's fascinating GINA Light Visionary Model design study
BMW presents GINA, a new take on car design, materials, and flexibility. The GINA replaces the traditional metal/plastic skin with a textile fabric skin that’s pulled taut around a frame of metal and carbon fiber wires. Even the shape of the car can change. Fascinating and creative design study.

Diesel partners with Idealogue and a book group to get people reading, at least just a little bit
Taking an unexpected route of asking creative to come up with their own video content, last week Idealogue took a literary turn to help launch Diesel's new fall campaign in New York. With N.Y.-based nonprofit Accompanied Literary Society, founded in 2004 the idea shop curated a group of celebrity authors to create "Flash Fiction" stories inspired by images from Diesel's campaign, which then became part of an installation projected for three days on the building at One York Place in New York.
The list of authors included A.M. Homes, Jonathan Ames, Jonathan Lethem, Jay McInerney, Paul Haggis and Gary Shteyngart
Check out the stories and their muses here:

Capture your own images of Adidas's fall/winter collection.
180 Amsterdam's new "Flash" site for Adidas lets visitors play photographer. Using a virtual camera, you can click your mouse and capture images from videos that feature models sporting the brand's new fall/winter line.
Each slow-motion clip has the models engaged in mundane activities such as pouring a glass of orange juice and blow drying their hair. The flash function of the camera, however, allows you to capture surreal, hi-res pics that make it feel like a real photo shoot. After you capture each image, you can save to an online catalogue and explore the new Adidas gear further.
